Fabrication Welder/Welder Helper 143 Marshall Avenue, Dunbar, WV 25064 Full-time Full-time Steel Specialties, a privately held steel fabrication shop located in Dunbar, WV requires a welder/welder helper. This is a full-time position and has regular Monday through Friday hours with an occasional Saturday. The welder is required to perform the following tasks: Mig welding of mild steel and stainless steel. Most welding is performed on plates, beams, channels, handrails and pipes. Assist the Fabrication Fitters on the shop floor with tack welding during the fitting process. Prepping joints with a grinder. Cleaning welds. Overhead crane operation. Operating a magnetic drill Ability to pass an in house performed D1.1 Welding Test. Sandblasting at our Point Pleasant, WV facility. Experience with the following would be a plus but not required: Welding Aluminum Stick Welding Forklift Operation Operating a thread machine Assisting and/or operating a burn table Operating a plate punch The candidate is required to: Have reliable transportation Be available to work Monday through Friday with an occasional Saturday. Pass a pre-employment drug test. Pass future random drug tests if selected from our random pool. Lift 50 lbs.

Compensation:

Compensation is competitive but will vary based upon the candidate's experience.
