Job Description This role involves planning, setting up, operating, and adjusting tools for various machine shop equipment such as punch presses, shears, and chop saws. You will work from blueprints, process sheets, and sketches to perform precise cutting and shaping of metal. You will also be responsible for verifying the conformance of completed workpieces to specifications using measuring tools. Responsibilities Set up and operate machines such as punch presses, shears, and chop saws. Work from blueprints, process sheets, and sketches to perform production tasks. Cut and shape metal to precision dimensions. Measure completed workpieces to verify conformance to specifications using micrometers, gauges, calipers, templates, or rulers. Saw, cut, shear, slit, punch, crimp, notch, bend, or straighten metal or plastic material. Essential Skills 1-2+ years of fabrication experience. Ability to read blueprints. Proficiency in using measuring tools such as tape measures and scales. Experience with operating drill presses and saws, including chop saws. Why Work Here? Work Environment The work environment is casual with a requirement for steel-toed footwear. You will work from Monday to Friday, 7:30 am to 4:00 pm, with a lunch break from 12:00 pm to 12:30 pm. Overtime is not expected but can be available, potentially including early mornings and Saturdays. The team consists of 6-7 employees, fostering a close-knit culture. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Chadds Ford, PA. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $23.00 - $26.00/hr.
