Facilities/ Cleaner

Job Summary:

We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented After-Hours Cleaner to maintain a clean, sanitary, and safe environment within our veterinary clinic. This role is essential to supporting animal health and infection control by ensuring all areas of the clinic are thoroughly cleaned and disinfected after daily operations.

Key Responsibilities:

Clean and disinfect exam rooms, surgical suites, kennels, and treatment areas Sanitize high-touch surfaces, including countertops, door handles, and equipment Sweep, mop, vacuum, and maintain all flooring throughout the facility Remove trash, biohazard waste, and dispose of materials according to clinic protocols Clean and restock restrooms and staff areas Launder and replace bedding, towels, and other reusable materials Refill supplies such as paper towels, soap, and disinfectants Follow all safety, sanitation, and infection-control procedures Secure the building after cleaning (lock doors, turn off lights, set alarms if required)

Qualifications:

Knowledge of proper cleaning techniques and safe use of chemicals Ability to work independently with minimal supervision Strong attention to detail and time management skills Reliability and punctuality are essential Comfortable working around animals and occasional animal-related messes

Physical Requirements:

Ability to stand, walk, bend, and lift up to 50lbs Capable of performing repetitive cleaning tasks

Schedule:

Evening or overnight hours (after clinic closing)

Work Environment:

This position involves working in a veterinary clinic where exposure to animals, cleaning chemicals, and biohazard materials may occur. Proper protective equipment and training will be provided.
