Job Description
West Cal Arena & Events Center is seeking qualified candidates to apply for the full-time position of
FACILITIES CREW FOREMAN
. This is a hands-on leadership role responsible for directing and working alongside our labor crew to ensure the safe, clean, and efficient operation of the entire facility for events of all sizes. The Facilities Crew Foreman will coordinate setup and teardown, oversee routine cleaning, perform light maintenance tasks, and help maintain arena grounds, barns, conference rooms, restrooms, and outdoor public areas to a high standard of appearance and functionality.Key responsibilities include:
Lead daily work assignments and supervise labor crews during event preparation, live events, and teardown. Set up chairs, tables, barriers, stabling, arenas, sound/lighting support areas, and signage as required by event specifications. Perform and direct cleaning, trash removal, sweeping, pressure washing, and restroom sanitation to maintain a clean guest environment. Conduct routine inspections of grounds, barns, stalls, fences, and equipment; report or address maintenance needs promptly. Maintain inventory of supplies, equipment, and PPE; coordinate requests for materials or external vendors when needed. Enforce safety protocols and ensure staff comply with facility rules and event requirements.Qualifications and work conditions:
Must be 18 years or older and possess a valid drivers license. The position requires flexibility for nights, weekends, and holiday schedules to support events. Prior experience operating light equipment (e.g., skid steers, small tractors, forklifts) is a plus. Candidates should demonstrate strong organizational and communication skills, practical problem-solving, and the ability to lead a small crew in a fast-paced, physical environment.Compensation and benefits:
Full-time position starting at $18/hr. Benefits include health, dental, and vision insurance, a retirement plan, paid holidays and sick days, and paid vacation after six months of employment.
