Tanner, AL Job Summary We are seeking a dependable and experienced Facilities Maintenance team member to support daily operations in a tire and wheel production facility. Our facility receives tires and wheels on pallets, mounts and airs the assemblies, repalletizes finished product, and ships directly to the customer. This position is ideal for a hands-on, self-motivated maintenance professional who can work independently, troubleshoot equipment issues, perform preventative maintenance, and help keep production running safely and efficiently. The right candidate must be a self-starter and able to work without direct supervision. Key Responsibilities Perform routine inspections and preventative maintenance on manufacturing equipment, including: Tire mounting machines Assembly equipment Conveyor systems Air systems and related production equipment Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic equipment issues. Analyze system failures to identify root causes and implement long-term corrective solutions. Respond quickly to equipment downtime and production interruptions. Maintain, repair, and support facility equipment used in daily tire and wheel assembly operations. Safely operate scissor lifts, forklifts, and other equipment as needed. Maintain accurate maintenance records, service histories, work orders, and preventative maintenance logs. Track parts inventory and communicate when replacement parts or critical spares are needed. Support continuous improvement efforts related to equipment reliability, safety, and production efficiency. Ensure all work is completed in compliance with company safety standards and good manufacturing practices. Keep maintenance areas, tools, and equipment organized and production-ready. Communicate equipment concerns, repair status, and improvement recommendations to plant leadership. Required Qualifications Previous maintenance experience in a manufacturing, industrial, production, or facilities environment. Strong mechanical troubleshooting skills. Experience working with both high-voltage and low-voltage electrical systems . Experience with pneumatic and hydraulic equipment . Ability to read, understand, and follow maintenance procedures, equipment manuals, and safety requirements. Ability to work independently without direct supervision. Must be a self-starter with strong problem-solving skills. Ability to safely operate or become certified to operate forklifts and scissor lifts. Ability to maintain accurate documentation and maintenance records. Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety. Must be dependable, organized, and able to support production needs in a fast-paced environment. Preferred Qualifications Experience maintaining tire machines, conveyor systems, assembly equipment, or similar production equipment. Forklift and/or scissor lift certification. Experience with preventative maintenance programs. Experience maintaining parts inventory and equipment service histories. Experience identifying root cause of equipment failures and implementing permanent corrective actions. Welding, fabrication, or general facility repair experience is a plus. Physical Requirements Ability to stand, walk, bend, kneel, climb, and work around production equipment. Ability to lift, carry, push, or pull materials and tools as needed. Ability to work from ladders, platforms, forklifts, or scissor lifts when required. Ability to work in a manufacturing environment with moving equipment, air tools, and production machinery. Must be able to follow all safety procedures and wear required PPE. Ideal Candidate The ideal candidate is someone who takes ownership of equipment reliability and does not wait to be told what needs to be done. This person should be able to inspect equipment, identify problems early, complete repairs, document work accurately, and help prevent repeat failures. We are looking for someone who can lead by example, support production, and help maintain a safe and efficient operation.Pay:
