Job Description
Facilities Maintenance Technician Myopia Hunt Club Reports To:
COO and Clubhouse Manager Myopia Hunt Club is seeking a dependable, skilled, and motivated Facilities Maintenance Technician to support the upkeep and operation of our historic club facilities. This position plays an important role in maintaining the club's buildings, infrastructure, and overall property to the high standards expected at one of the country's premier private clubs. Key Responsibilities Perform general building maintenance, including carpentry, plumbing, electrical work, painting, and minor repairs Assist with the upkeep of club buildings, including the clubhouse, maintenance facilities, and related structures Support ongoing projects, renovations, and property improvements throughout the club Monitor and maintain building systems, equipment, and tools Respond promptly and professionally to maintenance requests across departments Assist in implementing preventative maintenance programs and conducting regular facility inspections Coordinate with vendors and communicate repair needs, project updates, and recommendations with the COO and management team Plan and complete small in-house projects, including sourcing and purchasing materials as needed Safely operate hand tools, power tools, and maintenance equipment Participate in on-call coverage and respond to after-hours maintenance issues or emergencies when necessary Ability to lift up to 50 pounds without assistance Work Environment Frequently exposed to outdoor and non-office environments, including hot, cold, dusty, or noisy conditions Position may require climbing, crawling, bending, lifting, and extended periods of standing or walking Work may occasionally take place in active construction or maintenance areas Qualifications Experience in general building maintenance, construction, or a related trade preferred Ability to troubleshoot problems and complete repairs independently Strong attention to detail with pride in workmanship Ability to work independently while also contributing as part of a team Strong communication and organizational skills Valid driver's license required Schedule Full-time, Monday through Friday Typical hours are 7:00 AM - 3:30 PM Occasional evening, weekend, and emergency response work required What We Offer Competitive compensation based on experience Opportunity to work at a historic and highly regarded private club Year-round position within a professional and team-oriented environment Medical and dental insurance 401(k) plan with company match Christmas bonus This is an excellent opportunity for someone who takes pride in maintaining high-quality facilities and enjoys working in a unique and professional club environment.Pay:
