Job Description

The Facilities Maintenance Technician will perform scheduled and unscheduled maintenance, repair, preventative maintenance, and installation tasks both on the facilities, physical plant equipment, production equipment, and machinery. This role will be working onsite at our state of art Innovation and Manufacturing facility in Winston-Salem, NC. Job Duties Follow all
GMP, OSHA
safety rules, policies and regulations, performing safety and environmental inspections, as required. Maintain a clean and organized work area. Perform assigned PM and PdM tasks, utilizing predictive maintenance tools (ultrasonic, vibration analysis, laser alignment). Identify equipment trends, root causes and variances. Develop action plans for and implement improvements. Perform scheduled PM's on machinery/equipment/facilities equipment Troubleshoot, repair and replace defective/worn equipment parts, control devices, motors, belts, pneumatic systems and etc. Knowledge, and identification of gearboxes, motors, pulleys, gears Proficient knowledge and identification of belts, bearings, seals, etc. Facilities maintenance including performing painting, carpentry, sheetrock and flooring repairs as well as facility lighting change-outs (interior, exterior). Perform meeting room set-up and teardown (A/V equipment operation, maintenance, repair). Knowledge of boilers and steam-related components, environmental control room systems/operation/control, dust extraction systems (PMs, repairs). Machinery and equipment installation, PMs, calibration, and repairs. Solid knowledge and understanding of PLC and related controls. High proficiency at performing equipment changeovers. In-depth and demonstrated knowledge of electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and fire protection systems. Proficiency with variable frequency drives (VFD). Proficient in operating machine shop equipment, lathe, mill, grinders, drill press, etc. Proficient in use of welding equipment - gas/MIG/TIG. Read and interpret electrical and mechanical schematics and drawings. Positive attitude, willingness, and desire to learn as well as being a team player What's great about the Maintenance team. Qualifications Desired Skills Mechanical skills Electrical skills Welding skills Carpentry skills Ability to operate a motorized powered lift i.e. Forklift, Scissor lift, one man lift, etc. An MVR (Motor Vehicle Report) will determine an employee's eligibility to operate these lifts. •A Valid driver's license is required for this position.•
Experience:
4-8 years of maintenance experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience
Education:
High school diploma or GED equivalent
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
Associate degree in Industrial Maintenance Technology/Mechatronics, and/or Associate degree in Electrical/Electronics HVAC training /experience/ education Food and Drug Administration (FDA) or other regulatory experience Food manufacturing or packaging experience, and/or blending equipment, batching operation systems
WORK ENVIRONMENT
The manufacturing facility is clean, orderly, properly lighted and ventilated Noise levels are considered low to moderate, with some areas requiring hearing protection #IND2
