Facilities Maintenance Technician Location:

Schedule:

Monday - Friday (Standard Business Hours) | Occasional Emergency On-Call About the Role The Bridge is seeking a dependable and skilled Facilities Maintenance Technician to manage and steward our 37-bed adolescent residential treatment campus. Situated on 75 beautiful acres, this role is ideal for a "jack-of-all-trades" who enjoys a peaceful, campus-like environment and the autonomy of managing a shop and property. In this role, you focus on the "big picture" of campus health—handling basic upkeep, preventative care, and troubleshooting. While major mechanical or structural jobs are contracted out, you are the primary steward of the facilities, ensuring our environment remains safe and welcoming for the youth we serve.

Job Responsibilities Basic Trades:

Perform routine carpentry, plumbing, and electrical repairs.

Campus Upkeep:

Manage basic lawn care and janitorial needs to keep the grounds in excellent condition.

System Troubleshooting:

Identify facility needs and monitor outlying buildings to prevent deterioration.

Vendor Liaison:

Act as the on-site point of contact for external contractors during "big job" repairs.

On-Call:

Respond to occasional after-hours facility emergencies to ensure resident safety. Requirements Minimum 21 years of age. Valid Alabama driver's license and an acceptable driving record. High level of integrity, dependability, and composure in a residential treatment setting. Effective communication skills and the ability to follow detailed instructions. Cultural sensitivity in working with clients, staff, and community partners. Compliance & Safety The safety of the youth we serve is our highest priority.
