Job Description

The Facilities Manager oversees all aspects of a busy department and is responsible for general upkeep and maintenance of all buildings, grounds and infrastructure to ensure that they meet the high Dunton standards of aesthetic, safety, and functional requirements. They are responsible for coordinating with other departments to ensure the guest and employees experiences meet the high standards and expectations associated with Dunton.
Responsibilities:
Ensuring the smooth function of the Maintenance Department, which includes interdepartmental communication Managing the general upkeep and maintenance of buildings and structures to ensure that they meet health and safety standards, including Dunton Hot Springs, River Camp, Dunton Town House and employee housing Managing the waste disposal, compost, security and parking lots Assists in property reorganization for special events Oversees snow removal, tree removal and other weather-related property management Oversees the maintenance of hot springs Creates and maintains documentation of all property systems, including but not limited to electrical, plumbing, hot springs, emergency response Planning and coordinating all property repairs or renovations Manages the upkeep of equipment and supplies to meet health and safety standards Checks completed work by vendors and contractors Maintains communication and relationships with property care vendors Recommends maintenance, mechanical, electrical and facility design modifications Communicates workplace safety precautions with employees Management and scheduling of the Maintenance department Supports management team for cross departmental property support
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
Strong project management skills Strong leadership and the ability to manage a department that is often spread out over the properties Excellent verbal and written communication is a must, including ability to communicate clearly via email Computer skills Strong organizational skills Good analytical/critical thinking, problem solving skills Ability to maintain a flexible work schedule as business activity demands, including being available to work weekends/holiday periods Strong attention to details Must be able to read and write fluent English Ability to work well in stressful situations Ability to make sound independent decisions in a safe manner and clearly delegate duties consistent with the company interests, essential job functions, policies, and procedures
Job Specifications:
Possession of a valid driver's license and a clean driving record Minimum of a High School, vocational, or equivalency degree Previous experience in facilities management or similar vocation preferred Well-versed in technical/engineering operations Tasks often conducted in a physical, fast-paced environment with ever-changing demands Occasional desk work; but in conducting/supervising facilities operations frequent reaching, bending and stooping with constant walking/moving around Occasional travel and transporting of materials between work areas, even under inclement weather Regular pushing, lifting and carrying of 15 to 25 pounds; occasional lifting up to 50 pounds
Lateral Service:
It is required that all employees help as needed, where needed and until such need has been satisfied and the guest(s) has/have been provided the finest personal service possible.
Compensation:

Pay:
$65,000.00 - $70,000.00 per year
