Minimum qualifications:

Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience 8 years of experience in data center operations or other operational experience in non-DC industries (e.g., power generation, Heating, Ventilation and Air Conditioning (HVAC) and refrigeration, industrial manufacturing, military, oil and gas, maritime/marine, chemical cluster, etc.). 2 years of experience managing technical teams and vendors in charge of operating, maintaining, and troubleshooting electrical, mechanical, and controls infrastructure and components.

Preferred qualifications:

Master's degree in a related Engineering field. Experience collaborating with other business units to meet company goals and standards. Experience managing an Operations and Maintenance (O&M) and Capital Expenditure (Capex) budget. Knowledge of electrical and mechanical systems in a data center environment. Ability to manage vendor relationships and vendor performed maintenance. Excellent people management and leadership skills, with the ability to influence at all levels. About the job The US base salary range for this full-time position is $138,000-$200,000 + bonus + equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. Responsibilities Execute compliance activities for a data center and analyze compliance results globally, ensuring regional and global teams are complying with project/schedule guidelines and Google design standards. Monitor data center systems operations, control site activities to minimize risk, and to ensure effective response to any excursions. Drive efforts to ensure sites are following facility, maintenance, and standard programs globally while exhibiting strength in improvement to said policies and programs. Lead the development of strategies to keep operational costs to minimum, improve efficiency, and reduce environmental impact at a site, along with driving site-level development of programs and initiatives. subject matter expertise and experience to make recommendations for data center design improvements to optimize equipment and operations for next-generation data centers.
