About the
Role:
As a CBRE Facilities Manager, you will be responsible for the comprehensive operational management and maintenance of a large healthcare portfolio in Waco, Texas. This includes a significant hospital campus and multiple smaller clinics. You will lead a dedicated team of 16 direct reports, overseeing all aspects of facilities operations, from strategic planning and project execution to financial management and client relations. This role requires a strong leader with exceptional technical expertise, a commitment to safety, and a proven ability to foster high-level client satisfaction. This job is a part of the Facilities Management functional area which focuses on all aspects of the operations of a set of assets, providing support to the Property Managers regarding all repairs and investment plans.What You'll Do:
Manage the comprehensive facilities operations for a large healthcare portfolio in Waco, Texas. Direct the maintenance and operational integrity of a diverse portfolio of a large hospital campus and multiple smaller clinics across Waco, Tx. Lead, mentor, and manage a team of 16 direct reports, including building engineers, maintenance technicians, and a lead building engineer. Provide formal supervision, conduct performance evaluations, and foster professional development. Plan, execute, and oversee various facilities projects, including equipment change-outs and remodels, from inception to completion. Manage all services, encompassing mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems, pest control, landscaping, and other essential building services. Track and analyze team performance metrics and operational data to identify trends, optimize processes, and drive continuous improvement. Champion and enforce a robust safety culture across all managed facilities, ensuring strict adherence to all relevant local, state, and federal regulations and best practices. Serve as the primary client-facing representative for facilities operations, fostering strong relationships and ensuring high levels of client satisfaction. Prepare and manage capital projects, operating budgets, and variance reports for the assigned portfolio, ensuring fiscal responsibility. Develop and maintain positive relationships with clients. Conduct regular meetings regarding the portfolio's performance. Develop and implement strategic facility management objectives tailored to client needs and business goals. Conduct periodic inspections of facilities within the portfolio to ensure quality standards and regulatory compliance are consistently met. Provide formal supervision to employees. Monitor the training and development of staff. Conduct performance evaluations and coaching. Coordinate and manage the team's daily activities. Establish work schedules, assign tasks, and cross-train staff. Set and track staff and department deadlines. Mentor and coach as needed. Oversee vendor relationships and invoicing procedures. Review price quotes for the procurement of parts, services, and labor for projects. Lead by example and model behaviors that are consistent withCBRE RISE
values. Influence parties of shared interests to reach an agreement. Apply knowledge of own discipline and how own discipline integrates with others to achieve team and departmental objectives. Identify, troubleshoot, and resolve day-to-day and moderately complex issues which may or may not be evident in existing systems and processes.What You'll Need:
Bachelor's Degree preferred with 5 years of relevant experience in facilities management, within a large-scale healthcare environment. In lieu of a degree, a combination of experience and education will be considered. Facility Management certification preferred. Proven experience Strong leadership and team management skills with experience supervising a diverse technical staff. Demonstrated project management expertise from planning through execution. Proficiency in budget management, financial reporting, and operational data analysis. Thorough understanding of safety regulations and compliance standards relevant to facilities operations. Experience in the areas of staffing, selection, training, development, coaching, mentoring, measuring, appraising, and rewarding performance and retention preferred. Ability to guide the exchange of sensitive, complicated, and difficult information, convey performance expectations and handle problems. Leadership skills to motivate team impact on quality, efficiency, and effectiveness of the job discipline and department. Extensive organizational skills with a strong inquisitive mindset. Advanced math skills. Ability to calculate difficult figures such as percentages, fractions, and other financial-related calculations.
