Position Summary & Primary Responsibilities:
The Facilities Technician is responsible for proactively maintaining the overall cleanliness of the interior and exterior of the property as well as performing light maintenance tasks. This position has accountability for ensuring all common areas, lawns, and parking lots are clean and display a good appearance. In addition, this position is responsible for the following: Clean all assigned interior areas, to include vacuuming, mopping, washing, and scrubbing all hallways, stairwells, lobbies, railings, windows, light fixtures, entryways, rugs, compactor rooms and chutes, laundry rooms, party rooms, guest suites, fitness centers, whirlpool/pool areas, and floors Review the turnover schedule daily and clean assigned vacant units timely and thoroughly, including vacuuming, mopping, and disinfecting surfaces Remove snow from walkways, paths, and entryways•may mean working outside of normal operating hours, depending on when snow falls. Maintain cleanliness of trash rooms and dumpster areas Pick up debris both inside and outside of the property Assist Maintenance Technicians and Supervisors with maintaining proper chemical levels in pools and whirlpools on a rotating basis Deliver notices to resident apartments as assigned by the Real Estate Manager Inform Real Estate Manager of any supply needs or safety/maintenance concerns immediately' Assist Maintenance Technician or Maintenance Supervisor with light maintenance tasks Other duties as assigned
Education & Experience :
High school diploma or equivalent
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
Excellent time management skills Reliable Personal Transportation Excellent cleaning skills as well as knowledge of cleaning products and storage requirements Exceptional interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively with a wide range of people Ability to self-direct as well as work effectively on a team Exceptional customer service and communication skills
