Hiring Agency Tourism, Arts, & Heritage Cabinet | Kentucky Department of Parks Location 344 Caveland Drive Olive Hill, KY 41164 USA Description Looking for Facility Maintenance Worker II position at Carter Caves State Resort Park, located in Carter County, Kentucky. This position serves as the lead worker in the general maintenance and the upkeep of buildings, grounds and associated equipment. The Facility Maintenance Worker II position is responsible for the coordinating and plans services in the maintenance of buildings, grounds and equipment. Plans and schedules landscaping and mowing activities by utilizing weather reports and forecasts. Responsibilities include but are not limited to: Operate mechanical equipment, such as mowers, weed-eaters, welders, and leaf blowers for ground maintenance. Coordinate the work of and performs the work of employees in the general maintenance and upkeep of buildings, grounds and associated equipment. Paint surfaces that have high guest impact in nature. Perform routine minor renovation work. Perform janitorial duties on buildings and shelters. Perform janitorial and roadway assistance such as snow removal and plumbing repair. Complete assigned FM Works on Demand/Pm workorders in a timely and efficient manner. Fill out work orders accurately recording rime worked and materials used. Keep up all landscaping on all grounds, buildings and shelters. Maintain clean shelters. Other duties as required.

EXPERIENCE, TRAINING, OR SKILLS
One year of building maintenance, grounds maintenance, general trades, skilled trades, moving services, or mechanical maintenance experience. Substitute

SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS
(AGE, LICENSURE, REGULATION, ETC.): Must be 18 years of age. Working Conditions Incumbents in this job title may be exposed to extreme temperatures which requires the following of safety procedures. Must follow safety procedures, such as utilization of eye and ear protection, when utilizing certain mechanical equipment. Probationary Period This job has an initial and promotional probationary period of 6 months, except as provided in
KRS 18A.111.
