Family Law Attorney

We are looking to hire an associate attorney for our growing East Tennessee practice. We primarily handle family law matters - think custody, divorce, adoptions, and related litigation. We are very selective with our clients and only choose clients who are a joy to work with. This makes working at our firm an enjoyable experience with minimal drama and a fun day to day work environment. We take our work seriously, but we don't take ourselves too seriously. Our work environment is fast-paced, fun, and exciting. This is a good fit for someone who wants to actually practice family law and help people in the process. You will have direct client contact, courtroom experience, mentorship, and hands on experience from day one. What Makes Our Firm Different A lot of smaller firms leave associates on an island. Little support, inconsistent work, poor communication, and no real structure. We've worked hard to build systems that actually function, and we are working each day to continue to improve them. Our phones get answered. Clients are communicated with. Staff is trained. We already have more demand than we can comfortably handle, and we are looking for the right attorney to help us continue growing.

What You'll Be Doing:

Meeting with clients Drafting pleadings and motions Handling discovery Attending hearings and mediations Negotiating settlements Managing family law cases from start to finish Working directly with clients and support staff Handling hearings What We're Looking For We care far more about work ethic, professionalism, and communication skills than we do about years of experience.

The ideal candidate is:

coachable, motivated, organized, comfortable talking to people, and able to handle responsibility well. Family law experience is helpful but not required. A newer attorney who is hungry to learn and wants courtroom experience could be a great fit.
