Job Description
Overview We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP) to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will provide comprehensive care to patients of all ages, focusing on health promotion, disease prevention, and management of acute and chronic illnesses. As an FNP, you will play a crucial role in delivering high-quality medical services in various settings, including primary care, urgent care, and pediatrics. Responsibilities Conduct thorough physical examinations and health assessments for patients across all age groups. Develop and implement individualized patient care plans based on assessment findings. Manage acute and chronic health conditions through appropriate interventions and follow-up care. Perform airway management and tube feeding as needed for patients requiring specialized care. Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams within a Level II Trauma Center to ensure comprehensive patient management. Utilize aseptic techniques in all procedures to maintain patient safety and minimize infection risk. Provide education to patients and families regarding health maintenance, disease prevention, and treatment options. Document all patient interactions accurately in medical records to ensure continuity of care. Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient outcomes within the practice. Requirements Master's degree in Nursing from an accredited program. Current certification as a Family Nurse Practitioner by a recognized certifying body. Valid state nursing license with prescriptive authority. Experience in primary care, urgent care, pediatrics, or memory care is preferred. Proficiency in performing physical examinations and managing common medical conditions. Strong communication skills with the ability to work effectively with diverse populations. Familiarity with electronic health record (EHR) systems is advantageous. Ability to work collaboratively within a healthcare team while maintaining a patient-centered approach.
