Job Description

Rural Health Care Physician Philip, SD A Rural Health Care Physician provides comprehensive medical care across a wide range of patient needs, often serving as the primary point of contact within the community. This role requires a broad clinical skillset, adaptability, and a strong commitment to delivering high-quality care in diverse and dynamic environments. Key Responsibilities Clinical Duties Diagnose and treat a wide range of acute and chronic illnesses in an outpatient setting Provide comprehensive primary care across all age groups Respond to medical emergencies and provide urgent care as needed Prescribe and manage medications effectively Order, perform, and interpret diagnostic tests Perform minor procedures typically handled by specialists in larger settings Deliver preventive care and counsel patients on nutrition, hygiene, and overall health maintenance Community & Administrative Responsibilities Act as a healthcare leader and advocate within the community Collaborate with nurse practitioners, physician assistants, and other healthcare professionals Support and oversee community health programs and initiatives Develop and implement clinical guidelines and care protocols Provide health education and promote wellness initiatives Assist in managing day-to-day healthcare operations Professional & Interpersonal Expectations Build strong, long-term relationships with patients and families Demonstrate adaptability and a broad clinical skillset to meet diverse healthcare needs Maintain strict confidentiality and professional boundaries Deliver compassionate, patient-centered care in a community-focused environment
Compensation & Benefits Salary Range:
$230,000 $300,000 annually (based on experience) Comprehensive benefits package including: Health, dental, and vision insurance Paid time off (PTO) and holidays Malpractice insurance coverage CME allowance and paid CME time Relocation assistance (if applicable) Retirement plan options
