JOB SUMMARY
The Physician provides comprehensive primary care and emergency services to patients across all age groups. Responsibilities include diagnosing and managing acute and chronic conditions, performing examinations and procedures, prescribing treatments, and promoting preventive health measures. This role ensures high-quality, evidence-based care in compliance with regulatory standards.
ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Conduct comprehensive physical exams and interpret diagnostic tests.
  • Diagnose, treat, and manage acute and chronic illnesses across patient populations.
  • Order and interpret laboratory, radiographic, and diagnostic tests.
  • Formulate differential diagnoses and develop multidisciplinary care plans.
  • Prescribe medications and therapeutic interventions in compliance with state and federal regulations.
  • Provide emergency care and stabilization as needed, following BLS, ACLS, PALS, ATLS, and NRP standards.
  • Deliver inpatient attending coverage when necessary and/or scheduled.
  • Educate patients, families, and communities on health promotion and disease prevention.
  • Maintain accurate and timely documentation in Electronic Health Records (EHR) system.
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives and professional development.
  • Ensure compliance with HIPAA, OSHA, and infection control standards.
  • Promote patient and staff safety in all aspects of care. This job description outlines key responsibilities but is not exhaustive. Duties may change as organizational needs evolve. Requirements
  • Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathy (DO) degree with completed residency.
  • Current Iowa Medical License, DEA, and CSA registration
Certifications:
Basic Life Support (BLS), Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS), Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS), Advanced Trauma Life Support (ATLS); Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) preferred.
  • Dependent Adult & Child Abuse Mandatory Reporter Training.
  • Strong clinical assessment, diagnostic, and decision-making skills.
  • Excellent communication and patient education abilities.
