Farm and Research Assistant

Job Overview Montana State University-Eastern Agricultural Research Center is seeking a dynamic and motivated Farm and Research Assistant to join our team dedicated to advancing agricultural innovation and sustainable farming practices. This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to work hands-on with farm operations, and research projects. The ideal candidate will bring enthusiasm, mechanical aptitude, and a strong work ethic to support both daily farm activities and scientific research initiatives. You will play a vital role in maintaining farm infrastructure, managing field crops, and assisting with experimental setups, all while gaining valuable experience in crop production and agricultural research. Responsibilities assisting with crop management; equipment operation & maintenance; facility upkeep; helping research scientists process soil, plant samples; record data into computer systems. Skills Bachelor's degree or equivalent in related field; Experience operating farm machinery and performing basic farm maintenance tasks; Ability to lift heavy objectives, work outdoors in various weather conditions, and follow safety protocols; Knowledge of farm operation and agricultural research.

Pay:

$19.50 - $24.30 per hour
