Farm Contractor Position

Job Overview Join our agricultural team as a Full-Time Farm Contractor, where your energy, dedication, and strong work ethic will help support the daily operations of a growing farm. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work outdoors in a fast-paced environment while contributing directly to crop production, animal care, equipment maintenance, hay production, gardening, and overall farm operations. We are looking for a motivated individual who enjoys hands-on work, takes pride in maintaining equipment and property, and is willing to help wherever needed. Every day on the farm is different, and this role is ideal for someone who enjoys variety and learning many different aspects of agriculture and farm management. Responsibilities Assist with planting, watering, fertilizing, maintaining, and harvesting crops and produce Prepare garden beds and assist with greenhouse or horticultural operations as needed Assist with hay production and seasonal farm projects Care for animals by feeding, watering, cleaning enclosures, and monitoring overall health and behavior Operate farm equipment including tractors, skid steers, side-by-sides, forklifts, irrigation systems, and other machinery safely and efficiently Perform general farm labor and property maintenance Support animal husbandry practices and proper shelter conditions for livestock Perform routine maintenance, troubleshooting, and minor repairs on farm equipment and machinery Assist with equipment upkeep including welding, maintenance routines, and repair projects as needed Maintain records of farm activities, crop progress, animal care, and equipment maintenance Help wherever needed around the farm to ensure smooth daily operations Skills & Qualifications Strong work ethic and reliability Ability to work independently and stay motivated Willingness to work outdoors in various weather conditions Ability to perform physical labor, including lifting and moving heavy materials Mechanical knowledge and experience troubleshooting or repairing farm equipment is a plus Experience operating tractors, skid steers, forklifts, power tools, hand tools, and heavy machinery preferred Knowledge of farming practices, gardening, horticulture, greenhouse operations, or agriculture is beneficial Animal handling experience, livestock care, and equine experience preferred Welding and equipment repair experience is a plus Position Details Full-time contractor position Starting pay: $20-$22 hr Flexible scheduling depending on availability and farm needs Must be available for a few hours every Saturday and Sunday, as well as holidays Opportunity for increased pay based on performance, skill level, and work ethic We value hardworking individuals who are eager to learn, adaptable, and take pride in the work they do.
