Farm Hand/Laborer

Job Overview We are looking to hire additional employees to add to our farm for the busy upcoming months! You will be responsible for the daily feeding and milking of dairy cows in a safe and efficient manner. Duties include feeding cows, preparing cows for milking, operating and maintaining milking equipment, monitoring animal health, and ensuring milk quality standards are met.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist with feeding, bedding, and general herd care
• Prepare cows for milking by cleaning and inspecting udders
• Attach and detach milking machines properly and safely
• Monitor cows during milking and feeding to ensure comfort and detect health issues
• Clean and sanitize milking equipment, parlor, and holding areas
• Identify and report signs of illness or mastitis

Skills and Requirements:

• Physical stamina and ability to lift moderate weight
• Willingness to work early mornings from 6-10am, or evenings from 3:30-7pm, or weekends both shifts, and possibly holidays
• Attention to detail and ability to follow protocols

Work Environment:

• Work is performed in a farm setting with exposure to animals, noise, moisture, and varying weather conditions
• The position requires standing for long periods and repetitive physical activity.
