Farm Manager

Growout Farm Manager - Osakis, MN The farm manager is responsible for the daily care of turkeys in Randall, MN. Daily Duties Perform a morning check, removing any mortality that has occurred within the last day. Missing mortalities is not acceptable. Read all feed bins. Report to supervisor by 8am each day with mortality and bin readings Wash waters and flush water lines Spread shavings as needed in barns to maintain proper conditions Perform noon and night checks daily Observe, report and react to changes in bird health and activity Control barn ventilation and conditions Other Duties and Responsibilities Vaccinate birds on schedule Provide birds with proper medications and supplements through the water system Keep accurate mortality and medication records Repair and maintain a variety of equipment Operate a variety of farm equipment Prepare barns for loadouts at the end of each flock Supervise overnight loadouts at the end of each flock Clean, wash, and disinfect barns after each flock Maintain farm grounds (mow, trim, snow removal) Maintain and repair buildings on site Plan tasks and chores for the upcoming week Assist in dumping poults and moving birds at other farms Work the farm every other weekend when birds are on site Farm Managers are expected to provide their own basic set of tools for day to day use. Specialty tools will be provided. Farm manager duties and responsibilities are not limited to this list. He or she will be asked to assist in many other tasks as well. The farm manager may need to lead small groups for short periods of time.

Pay:

$52,000.00 - $57,000.00 per year
