Farmers Market Staff

If you love local farms and food, and have been looking for a way to get involved that doesn't involve mud or manure, this could be the job for you! Square Roots Farm is looking for a farmers market team member starting in May to work a weekly Saturday farmers market, selling our pasture-raised meat and eggs. Now in the midst of our 16th year of operation, we are a diversified farm that raises eggs, chicken, turkey, pork, and beef primarily for farmers' markets and wholesale. Our farm focuses on pasture-based and regenerative practices, and we strive to market our products to our neighbors of all backgrounds and income levels. In 2026, we will manage ~1500 laying hens and 45 head of beef and raise 6,000 broilers (meat chickens), 400 turkeys and 40 pigs, and sell at three weekly farmers markets. As a a farmers market team member, you will contribute to our goals of farming sustainability, promoting food access for all. The ideal candidate will be reliable, comfortable interacting with farmers market customers, able to handle the sometimes fast past of market. Must be able to repeatedly lift heavy coolers (~50lbs). This person would train with an experienced market farmer for one or two weeks before doing the job on their own.
