15 farmworkers are needed in Allegan and Van Buren Counties, Michigan, to harvest and handle blueberries. Duties include hand harvesting blueberries based on color, firmness, and ripeness; pruning, weeding, hoeing, and general field maintenance; and packing activities such as sorting, grading, labeling, boxing, and preparing fruit for market. Workers will also inspect blueberries on conveyor belts in a packing facility and perform cleaning and sanitation tasks. Work requires standing for long periods, repetitive hand use, careful handling of fruit, and lifting containers up to shoulder height. Workers may operate tractors or other farm vehicles on the farm. At least 1 month of verifiable experience in commercial blueberry hand harvesting is required, along with references from the past 3 years. Pay is hourly, except for blueberry harvesting, and training will be provided. Earned Sick Time Requirement:

In accordance with applicable Michigan state law, Earned Sick Time Act 338, employers are required to provide earned sick time to employees. The amount of paid sick leave provided may vary depending on the size of the business. Housing:

The employer provides housing at no cost to workers who cannot reasonably return to their residence at the end of the workday. Separate sleeping quarters and bathroom facilities are designated for male and female workers; family housing is not available.
