Worker will be required to perform a variety of duties found in SOC Code 45-2092 Farmworkers and Laborers, Crop, Nursery, and Greenhouse such as: Participate in the inspection, grading, sorting, storage, and post-harvest treatment of crops; Repair and maintain farm vehicles, implements, and mechanical equipment; Set up, repair, maintain, and operate irrigation equipment; Operate tractors, tractor-drawn machinery, and self-propelled machinery (much of which is equipped with GPS) to plow, harrow and fertilize soil, or to plant, cultivate, spray and harvest crops; Load inputs and drive trucks to transport to employers fields, load employers crops and drive trucks to transport to fields and storage facilities such as elevators, bins, silos, piles/bags in close proximity to the farm; Clean work areas; Haul and spread topsoil, fertilizer, and other materials to condition soil; Repair farm buildings, fences, and other structures; Mix materials, dump solutions or seeds into planter or sprayer machinery; Attach implements using hand tools; Drive and operates farm machines such as 4WD 180-320 HP tractors, self propelled sprayers with 100' spray booms, harvesters like class eight combines with 8 to 12 row corn heads or 35' to 40' soybean platforms; also 6 row cotton pickers; Drive tractors that are attached to soil conditioning implements 30' to 45' in width used to till, cultivate, and harrow the land; Drive tractors that are attached to planters or drills, also 30' to 45' in width to plant broadcast or plant 8, 24, or 32 row patterns; Self-propelled sprayers and fertilizer dry box are driven to provide necessary nutrients at prescribed rates to the actively growing corn, soybean, and cotton crops; Harvested grain is driven by tractors and attached grain carts unloaded at the grain bins and elevator for storage; Operators at the storage bins monitor the synchronized flow of grain from the dump pit conveyor up the bucket elevator discharged to various chain conveyors carried over and released into the grain storage bins; During harvest the combine operator makes necessary adjustments to combine and header to enhance the quality and volume of product produced; Adjustments such as ground speed, header height control, reel speed, threshing concave settings, etc.; On a daily basis drivers/operators perform routine maintenance repair and replacement of parts provided and the necessary hand tools to adjust, lubricate, refuel their equipment; Thirty-two center pivot sprinkler systems irrigate the land; Operators maintain diesel power units that power generators and pumps that force water down to mile long pipe spans; Sprinklers are observed to ensure uniform distribution of water to all areas. •
