Participate in the inspection, grading, sorting, storage, and post-harvest treatment of crops, including working with bins, augers, and trailers. Repair and maintain farm vehicles, implements, and mechanical equipment, and inform farm managers of crop conditions and progress. Operate tractors, tractor-drawn machinery, and self-propelled equipment such as forklifts and loaders. Load agricultural inputs including fertilizer, chemicals, and seed; drive trucks to transport inputs to fields; and load and transport harvested crops to storage facilities such as elevators, bins, silos, piles, or bags. Clean and maintain work areas, equipment, and farm grounds. Maintain inventory records and supplies. Drive trucks to haul fertilizer and other materials for soil conditioning. Mix materials and dump solutions, powders, or seeds into planter or sprayer machinery. Attach and remove implements using hand tools. Weigh containers and accurately record weights and identifying information. The employer maintains a drug and alcohol-free workplace. Upon hire, workers may be subject to random drug testing at no cost to the worker. A positive test result or failure to comply with testing requirements may result in immediate termination of employment. ### Minimum Education Required No High School Diploma or GED required. ### Minimum Experience Required Worker must be able to speak and understand English. Worker must be able to lift up to fifty (50) pounds. Worker must be able to obtain appropriate CDL after hire and maintain a clean driving record to drive grain trucks. Work guaranteed for 3/4 of contract period, starting with date of arrival at work site. Employer provides free housing for workers whose residence is beyond normal commuting distance. Employer pays inbound transportation and subsistence to work site upon 50% completion of work contract for workers whose residence is beyond normal commuting distance. Daily subsistence will be provided at a rate of at least $16.28 per day during travel to a maximum of $68.00 per day with receipts. Required work-related tools and supplies provided free of charge by employer.
