This job opportunity is limited to qualified, available workers that are currently eligible to work in the United States, per federal regulation.JOB DESCRIPTION
Farmworkers will participate in general duties associated with a commercial farming operation including but not limited to:- vegetable harvesting including planting, growing, harvesting and packing of various row crops. Crops include pickling cucumber, and long green cucumbers.
- maximize crop by best weeding and harvesting practices.
- perform work on and off tractors, that seed crops, transplant crops, spray crops, harvest crops and cultivate fields.
- perform work moving and setting up irrigation pipes.
- comply with all safety, labor and food safety requirements and attend all safety meetings.
JOB REQUIREMENTS
- Willing to commit to the entire contract period
- 2 months of experience in hand harvesting vegetable row crops on a commercial farming operation
- Able to lift 60 lbs.
HOURS/DAYS/SCHEDULE
Contract period: July 28th, 2026 through October 1st, 2026 8 hours per day Monday through Friday.SALARY/WAGE/BENEFITS
$18.50 per hour. The payroll period shall be weekly. The employer will furnish, without charge, all tools, supplies and personal protective equipment required in the performance of the specified work. Employer provided housing/kitchen facilities are available for employees who are unable to reasonably return to their place of residence the same day. Employer will furnish cooking facilities with working appliances, hot water, a place to prepare food at no cost to employees occupying employer-provided housing. Employees will purchase their own food and prepare their own meals. In the event that it becomes necessary for the employer to provide 3 meals a day to the workers, the employer will charge $16.78 per day or the current allowable charge as designated by the DOL. All breaks and lunches will be subject to local, state, and federal regulations. Employer will use one 15 passenger van to transport workers occupying employer-provided housing. The workers will be picked up at the housing locations; the time of pick-up depends on variable factors, such as weather, field location, job duties, etc. They will be returned to the housing in the same manner after their shift is done; time varies depending on the same factors. Vehicle to be used will be provided by the fixed-site employer. Employer will offer transportation to and from employer provided housing to the work site, at no cost to workers who qualify. Employer will provide one weekly trip to workers to purchase groceries. Transportation costs to the job site for domestic workers from outside the local commuting distance of the job site will be reimbursed by the employer after 50% of the contract period. Transportation costs from the job site to workers' home will be provided to those domestic workers that complete the entire contract period. The Employer will reimburse subsistence during transportation as soon as practical after the Workers arrive. The rate of reimbursement for subsistence during transportation is $16.78 per day if no receipts are offered, up to a maximum of $68.00 per day if the Worker presents receipts as specified in 20 CFR 655.122 (h)(1) and 20 CFR 655.173(a). Employer guarantees to offer employment for the hourly equivalent of 3/4 or 75% of the workdays of the work contract beginning with the first day of work.
