Position Title Federal Work Study (On Campus•Genomics Core Lab Assistant) Posting Number 08192 Position Number 08192 Student Job Category Student•Federal Work Study On-Campus Number of Vacancies 1 Job Description ECU Department of Biology is currently seeking a student to serve as an Undergraduate Genomics Core Lab Assistant for the preparation of materials used in teaching labs.
Lab assistants are responsible for:
The preparation of reagents Laboratory setup Laboratory breakdown Maintaining teaching labs for biochemistry and biotechnology Cleaning teaching laboratories The student must also be available to work a minimum of 4 hours a week around their class schedule. Preferred (Majors, Experience, GPA, etc.) Successful candidates must be able to follow safety rules and protocols, work independently, be detail-oriented, and have availability during the day in two or more hour blocks. BS-Biology, BS-Biochemistry or BS/BA-Chemistry Previous laboratory experience is preferred.
