• Full-time Overview We are seeking a full-time Driver/Linehaul Operations Manager in the Hagerstown, MD area.

We are a FedEx Ground Independent Contractor operating from the Hagerstown, Baltimore, Gaithersburg, and Beltsville, MD terminals. The Linehaul Operations Manager will ensure the successful execution of mixed assigned and unassigned local runs between all the terminals, along with other related business operations. Previous experience with FedEx Ground is preferred but not required. The Linehaul Operations Manager is responsible for leading our team

• ensuring safety and accountability and building positive, professional relationships with drivers and FedEx Ground staff.

Currently holding an active CDL-A license is required! The position requires that the Manager drives occasionally whenever there is a route that needs to be covered, or a sick driver, or any emergency during the night, or weekends that needs assistance. This position requires for the BC Manager to drive when needed, NO

EXCEPTIONS.

Duties Supervise linehaul operations, ensuring compliance, safety, efficiency and profitability. On-call 24/7 for driver support, dispatch assistance, breakdowns, etc Drive routes as needed, keeping contact with other drivers and managers throughout shifts. Build and manage a team of drivers to meet the needs of business. Maintain the company's fleet of trucks: analyze driver pre/post trip inspections, schedule preventative and other maintenance and oversee transportation to and from mechanics Identify strengths and areas of opportunity in operations and driver performance. Identify and respond to personnel issues within the operation that require more coaching, discipline and/or termination. Monitor performance using technology and coaching to ensure safety and efficiency. Ensure employee's compliance to policies including uniforms, pre-post trip, DOT compliance, Hazmat, insurance cards, fuel cards, accident packets, etc. Maintain positive business relationships with FedEx station management and team members. Ensure quick and professional responses to all service issues raised by FedEx. Perform safety audits, ride-along evaluations and other quality control measures. Follow-up with local management on all VEDR recordable incidents and accidents according to DOT requirements. Enforce all company policies and procedures. Obtain and maintain good understanding and familiarity of all company routes. Ensure the company is in compliance with all guidelines as set forth by FedEx. Ensure that local management is accountable to accurate deliveries, recordkeeping and excellent customer service. Communicate openly, honestly and frequently with management, drivers, FedEx personnel and company ownership.

Linehaul Operations Manager Benefits:

Salary between $62,400

• 65,000 depending on experience Health insurance (Preventive) Dental insurance Vision insurance 401k Experience 2+ years of logistics/transportation CDL driving and/or management experience needed FedEx BC or Ops Manager Experience a major plus CDL-A required and ability to drive at night.

Must be able to pass DOT physical as well as a drug screen and criminal background check (for insurance purposes). Must have a clean driving record. Working knowledge of HOS and VEDR equipment preferred
