Feed Production Supervisor

We are a family-owned, innovative agricultural business with an active crop farm and a growing direct-to-customer operation, seeking a hands-on Feed Production Supervisor to lead our grain milling operations. This role is focused on execution - mixing batches, keeping milling and production on track, overseeing a small team, maintaining accurate inventory, and ensuring orders are produced correctly and on time. The right person is a dependable doer who notices problems early, solves them quickly, and holds others accountable without needing constant direction. All of our grains are direct marketed, and we operate in a small business environment where everyone plays a key role. Oversee our grain processing and feed mixing systems making sure the work gets done right every time. Feed Production Supervisor This position is responsible for all value added production and processing of our grains. Working along side the rest of the management team - Inventory, quality control, manufacturing, and warehousing fall under the realm of this position. All things related to taking the grain from bulk storage to fulfilling customer orders through shipping. As a smaller company, this is a hands on role where the supervisor is working directly with the production team leading the way. While some desk work is required, this is very much a role that is actively involved on the production floor. Primary Responsibilities Mix and produce bulk feed for the bagging line. Prioritize schedules and oversee production staff to meet customer order demands Coordinate with the production team to achieve daily production goals. Manage bulk & bag inventory - Create & execute Manufacturing Orders to meet target inventory levels. Feed Ingredient Purchasing - Compare costs, order appropriate products, create PO's, and update costing in spreadsheets. Order packaging materials as necessary. Oversee bagged grain warehouse operations. Ensure the warehouse stays neat and orderly. Ensure all operational procedures are completed and up to date in management systems. Oversee pest control Communicate any mechanical issues to the maintenance team to ensure no down time on equipment. Other duties production related as assigned.
