Position Summary The Maintenance Supervisor is responsible for planning, coordinating, and directing all maintenance activities for the Traver Conventional and Organic Feed Mills, ensuring safe, reliable, and efficient operations across 24/7 facilities. This role provides hands-on leadership over preventive and corrective maintenance programs, automation systems, and maintenance personnel to minimize downtime, optimize equipment performance, and support production goals. The Maintenance Supervisor ensures compliance with all applicable regulatory requirements, including EPA, FDA, and air quality standards, while managing maintenance budgets, spare parts inventory, and emergency response efforts. The ideal candidate brings strong technical expertise in industrial controls and PLC troubleshooting, a proactive approach to problem-solving, and a commitment to developing a high-performing maintenance team through collaboration, safety leadership, and continuous improvement. Essential Functions Plan, direct, and manage maintenance operations for the Traver Conventional and Organic Feed Mills. Develop, submit, and oversee an annual maintenance budget exceeding $1 million. Drive company profitability by identifying, evaluating, and implementing cost‑reduction initiatives related to equipment, energy, and labor. Minimize facility downtime by designing and executing an effective preventive maintenance program to optimize equipment reliability. Collaborate with all impacted departments to coordinate and execute maintenance projects. Manage all aspects of maintenance personnel administration, including policies, procedures, hiring, training, safety awareness, and performance development. Ensure compliance with all applicable regulatory agencies, including the San Joaquin Valley Air Pollution Control District, EPA, and FDA. Lead and oversee timely troubleshooting and resolution of production issues, including both major and minor maintenance of automated and non‑automated equipment. Monitor the performance of mill automation systems and replace hardware components and electrical equipment as necessary. Oversee the maintenance parts room, ensuring adequate and accurate inventory levels to support operational needs. Additional Job Functions Respond to emergency situations and coordinate appropriate actions for facilities operating 24/7. Serve as Incident Commander and Environmental Coordinator for the entire facility when required. Make sound, strategic decisions related to industrial controls, department safety, and maintenance efficiency. Monitor plant control systems supporting production processes and facility operations; develop preventive improvement plans to maximize equipment uptime, product quality, safety, and cost efficiency. Build, lead, and sustain a high‑performing maintenance team through employee engagement, mentoring, coaching, and development of direct reports. Qualifications Bachelor's degree with an emphasis in facilities maintenance, engineering, or a related field. Experience with SAP data processing software preferred. Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook. Minimum of five years of supervisory or management experience. Strong analytical, problem‑solving, and decision‑making skills. Demonstrated technical expertise with hands‑on experience across maintenance and operational areas. Ability to work effectively in a multidisciplinary team environment. Experience reading and interpreting Allen‑Bradley ladder logic and P&ID loops.
