Job Description

Job Summary We are seeking a motivated and skilled TRACK Feller Buncher Operator to join our dynamic forestry team. In this role, you will operate specialized machinery to efficiently and safely harvest trees, ensuring optimal productivity and adherence to safety standards. Your expertise in heavy equipment operation, tree care, and rigging will be essential to support sustainable forestry practices and project success. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work outdoors in a fast-paced environment where your skills directly contribute to responsible resource management. Responsibilities Operate feller bunchers and other heavy machinery such as excavators and loaders to cut, gather, and transport trees efficiently. Perform precise tree felling, trimming, and bucking to meet project specifications while maintaining safety protocols. Utilize GPS technology for accurate navigation and positioning during harvesting operations. Conduct routine inspections of equipment, including ensuring proper mechanical function and safety compliance. Assist with rigging, bucket operation, and climbing as needed for tree care or maintenance tasks. Support tree care activities such as trimming, pruning, and ensuring healthy growth of harvested areas. Engage in heavy lifting tasks and manual labor requiring physical strength while following safety guidelines. Requirements Proven experience operating feller bunchers or similar heavy equipment such as excavators or loaders. Mechanical knowledge of forestry machinery and general equipment maintenance. Ability to perform climbing, rigging, and other physically demanding tasks including heavy lifting. Familiarity with tree care practices including trimming, pruning, and health assessment. Valid commercial driver's license (CDL) or equivalent for transporting equipment or materials. (Preferred but not a must) Strong understanding of GPS systems used in forestry operations for precision harvesting.
