Fiber Optic Assembly Technician

Telecommunications Company is seeking a full-time fiber optic termination specialist to join our team. The terminator will be assigned production orders, reading and following work instructions to fabricate custom cable assemblies. Applicants must be able to discern all colors, those with color vision deficiency will not be a good fit. This position requires excellent hand-eye coordination, attention to detail, and good time management. Experience not required, training is offered. Benefits offered at 90 days. Responsibilities

• Cut and strip back fiber optic furcation to prescribed length
• Visually identify and locate appropriate connectors
• Visually identify and confirm small fiber colors in accordance with

TIA-598-C

• Mix and heat specialized epoxy / glue for connector injection
• Terminate requested connectors and cure in ovens
• Visually inspect connector end face, cleave and clean excess fiber / epoxy
• Follow

ISO 9001 / AS9100

guidelines in quality check control

• Submit completed orders to polishing for further process Preferred Qualifications
• Previous experience with assembly line production / manufacturing processes
• Previous experience with Quality Control systems, such as

AS9100 / ISO 9001

• Threading a needle does not frustrate you
