- Field Applications Scientist-Sequencing
- to join an expert team of Field Application Scientists and Field Engineers focused on providing top-tier customer support, including pre- and post-sales technical support, installation, and service.
The Opportunity:
- + Provide expert knowledge of products and applications to customers, with the goal of providing consultative scientific support, e.
- This is a field-based role - the territory will cover the States of Kentucky, Ohio, West Virginia, Virginia, Maryland, Delaware, Pennsylvania, New Jersey & New York City region. 50% to 75% travel is expected for this position. The ideal candidate for this role should reside in a major metropolitan area.
Who You Are:
- + Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent work experience.
Preferred Qualifications:
- + Advanced Degree in Science + Minimum 3 years demonstrated experience of Molecular Biology/Biochemistry concepts, practices and procedures + Minimum 3 years experience in Sequencing and other genomics technologies + Knowledge of bioinformatics and NGS data analysis software is a plus + Knowledge of dPCR and qPCR applications and analysis a plus + Customer support experience strongly preferred + Strong interpersonal and organizational skills + Strong presentation and communication skills + Previous experience mentoring and/or training.
