Field Engineer Surveyor

About the Role We are seeking a detail-oriented, field-driven Construction Surveyor to support active foundation and deep foundation projects throughout New York City. This role is focused specifically on pile layout, foundation layout, and as-built documentation . You will work directly alongside field crews and project engineers to ensure accuracy in pile installation and foundation construction. This is a hands-on field position on active job sites — not a purely office-based surveying role. Responsibilities Perform layout of pile locations and foundation elements Establish and maintain site control points Verify elevations and coordinates prior to installation Perform and document as-built surveys of installed piles and foundations Coordinate daily with superintendents and project engineers Maintain accurate and organized field notes and digital records Operate robotic total stations and GPS equipment

Qualifications Preferred:

Experience in construction surveying, particularly for foundations or deep foundations Ability to read and interpret foundation plans and structural drawings Familiarity with robotic total stations and GNSS equipment Strong understanding of site control and construction tolerances High attention to detail and accountability

Required:

Ability to work full-time in person on NYC construction sites Comfortable working outdoors in varying weather conditions Professional and safety-conscious demeanor

Pay:

$35.00 - $47.00 per hour
