Osmose employs approximately 3,600 people including 3,000 field employees across the country, as well as professional engineers, corrosion experts and software developers at its headquarters in Peachtree City, Georgia. Overview Power Survey is currently seeking a Field Technician to work the night shift responsible for detecting and testing potential contact voltage hazards within assigned area using vehicle-mounted and hand-held equipment and devices. Typical work week is Sunday - Thursday nights from 8:30pm to 5:30am. Responsibilities Read and interpret schematics of distribution equipment and develop appropriate survey route overlays. Operate GPS mapping and tracking system; develop route plan within targeted geographic region. Recognize when the sensor deviates from normal operations; calibrate and maintain system as needed. Operate, maintain and use an array hand-held measuring equipment used to confirm and assess hazard voltages appearing on publicly accessible surfaces. Interpret observations and follow standardized processes to locate the source of the stimulus that is triggering the voltage sensor system. Take accurate measurements and communicate results to utility repair crews. Qualifications Previous related experience in Field operations working in all weather conditions. Prior night shift experience is a plus but not required. Must have previous experience working in positions that require self-direction and independent work as well as working in teams. Excellent interpersonal skills including the ability to maintain perspective and respond in a professional manger when faced with challenging or stressful situations. Solid oral and written communication skills. Basic Microsoft Office skills utilizing Word, Excel, and Outlook. Must pass background check, pre-employment drug test and have a clean driving record.
