Job Description

ANDRITZ Schuler Incorporated seeks a Field Service Engineer II in Canton, MI to assist customers with on-site troubleshooting and repair of existing ANDRITZ Schuler equipment or the assembly and startup of new ANDRITZ Schuler presses, as well as customer training. Assist ANDRITZ Schuler affiliates in determining required repair and spare parts. Read prints, drawings, and schematics and perform calculations. Support service sales by identifying and presenting various products, parts, and services as defined by group objectives. Maintain and develop strong customer relationships to ensure positive customer service satisfaction measurements. Advise customers and representatives of upgrade opportunities. Recommend service and preventative maintenance programs for customers of the Schuler group. Recommend and support quotes development for technical service and parts within SIC policies and practices. Produce comprehensive and accurate service reports of activities and repairs to the customer's equipment. Must have a Bachelor's Degree (or foreign equiv) in Electrical Engineering or a related field and two (2) years of electrical experience. The two years must include one year of experience with hydraulic presses, Siemens PLC programming, and Blanking Lines. In lieu of a Bachelor's Degree (or foreign equivalent), we will accept a Bachelor's Degree earned through any suitable combination of education, training, &/or experience, as determined by a professional evaluation service. All experience may be acquired concurrently. National & International Travel is required, not to exceed 50%. EOE. 40/hrs/wk. 8am to 5pm. Mon-Fri. Send resumes to Brent Piet at Brent.
