Field Service Technician

Company overview We are a construction and service company that works primarily on dairy farms. We service a variety of equipment such as manure pumps, agitators, alley scrapers, feed mixers, and waterers. We offer hands on training. Our service crew rotates the on-call phone. We offer a stipend for those that are on-call. Our crew is very flexible when it comes to working with the on-call scheduling. Job Summary We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Field Service Technician to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for providing on-site support and maintenance for our equipment and systems. The ideal candidate will possess a strong technical background, excellent problem-solving abilities, and a commitment to delivering exceptional customer service. You will work independently and collaboratively with other team members to ensure the highest standards of service are met. Duties Perform installation, maintenance, and repair of various equipment and systems in the field. Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic issues to ensure optimal performance. Conduct routine inspections and preventative maintenance on equipment. Provide technical support and training to customers on equipment operation and maintenance. Collaborate with the sales team to identify opportunities for technical sales of parts and services. Maintain accurate records of service activities, parts used, and customer interactions. Adhere to safety protocols and regulations while working in various environments. Skills Strong knowledge of hydraulics, electrical systems, and mechanical principles is preferred. Experience as an industrial mechanic with hands-on troubleshooting skills. Familiarity with technical sales processes related to equipment services. Competence in stick welding techniques as needed for repairs. Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively with clients.
