Field Supervisor

We are looking to hire a Field Supervisor to manage our grading crews with the ability to establish and maintain business relationships with customer building, supervisors,and purchasing managers.

Compensation:

65,000 - 70,000 yearly

Responsibilities:

The candidate should have the following skill set: Manage crew schedules and assess tasks ahead of schedule to ensure job readiness. Maintain and encourage a safety-first atmosphere in line with EcoSouth best practices. Take ownership of assigned work sites and lead operational decisions within those communities. Work with crews to provide a high-quality finished product that meet customer and industry standards. Supervise and ensure the proper usage and day to day maintenance of heavy equipment. The ability to communicate in Spanish is preferred. Knowledge of Grading is preferred but not necessary.

Skills Required:

Proven experience as a Supervisor or similar role in the construction industry Strong knowledge of construction processes, techniques, and materials Excellent communication and leadership skills Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail Knowledge of OSHA regulations and safety protocols Ability to supervise and motivate a diverse team of workers

Skills, Knowledge, and Abilities :

Demonstrates ability to follow specific instructions and directions. Demonstrate ability to use and operate hand tools, including reading a tape measure and using a hammer. Demonstrate ability to stack material properly. Must be able to work in a fast-paced team environment, as well as work alone. Must be able to read, write and communicate in English effectively. Must be able to comply with OSHA requirements and standards to wear all applicable PPE properly.

Physical Requirements:

Vision:

adequate to enter and read material on computer screens. Able to identify individuals to initiate greetings, the giving of directions and other business interactions.

Hearing:

Able to hear safety alerts and warning signals.

Speaking:

Able to engage in conversations in person and via electronic means and deliver information to groups of varying size with or without amplification.

Equipment Operation:

Able to operate a wide range of tools

Carrying:

able to occasionally carry up to 20lbs/9kg.

Lifting:

able to lift up to 30lbs/14kg.

Squatting/Kneeling:

able to squat or kneel

Standing:

able to stand for extended periods of time delivering information.

Walking:
