Part-Time About the Position We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Part-Time Accounts Payable Associate to join our team at a busy steel distribution and fabrication facility. This position is responsible for processing vendor invoices, maintaining accurate financial records, and supporting the accounting department with day-to-day administrative tasks. The ideal candidate will have previous accounts payable or accounting experience, strong organizational skills, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced industrial environment. Responsibilities Process and verify vendor invoices for payment Match invoices to purchase orders and receiving documents Reconcile vendor statements and resolve discrepancies Enter accounts payable transactions accurately and timely Maintain organized accounting and vendor records Communicate with vendors regarding invoice and payment inquiries Assist with month-end closing activities Support accounting and administrative staff with additional duties as needed Ensure compliance with company accounting procedures and internal controls Qualifications Required Previous Accounts Payable, Bookkeeping, or Accounting experience Strong attention to detail and accuracy Proficiency with Microsoft Office, particularly Excel Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines Strong communication and organizational skills Preferred Experience working in a construction, manufacturing, steel, or industrial environment Experience with Sage 100 accounting software Associate degree in Accounting, Business, or related field (preferred but not required) Benefits Paid Time Off (PTO) IRA Retirement Savings Options Stable work environment with a locally established company Opportunities for growth and advancement Schedule Part-Time Position Flexible schedule available Approximately 20-30 hours per week (depending on experience and business needs) Compensation DOE (Dependent on Experience)
