In this pivotal role, you will oversee complex accounting functions, ensure compliance with GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles), and support financial reporting processes. Your expertise will help maintain the integrity of our financial data, streamline accounting operations, and contribute to strategic decision-making. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work with cutting-edge financial software and collaborate across departments to achieve organizational goals. Duties Prepare, analyze, and review journal entries, account reconciliations, and general ledger transactions to ensure accuracy and completeness. Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable processes using accounting software such as QuickBooks, Sage etc Conduct detailed analysis of financial data to support month-end and year-end closing activities. Assist with internal controls compliance, including SOX (Sarbanes-Oxley Act) procedures, to safeguard company assets. Support payroll management and benefits administration using platforms like ADP, Paychex, UltiPro, or Kronos. Collaborate with external auditors during audits by providing necessary documentation and explanations of financial statements. Participate in the development and implementation of accounting policies and procedures aligned with GAAP standards. Perform account reconciliation tasks for general ledger accounts, ensuring all discrepancies are identified and resolved promptly. Utilize various financial software tools for data entry, analysis, and reporting purposes to enhance operational efficiency. Contribute to special projects related to governmental or non-profit accounting as needed. mothly p&l Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; CPA certification is preferred. Proven experience in public accounting or corporate accounting environments with a strong understanding of financial concepts such as debits & credits, double entry bookkeeping, and journal entries. Proficiency in accounting software including QuickBooks, Sage, Workday, PeopleSoft, Ceridian, or similar platforms. Familiarity with SOX compliance standards and internal control procedures. Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex financial data accurately. Experience managing payroll systems such as ADP or Paychex along with benefits administration tools like UltiPro or Kronos is highly desirable. Knowledge of governmental or non-profit accounting practices is a plus. Excellent attention to detail with high proficiency in data entry (including 10 key typing) and account reconciliation tasks.
