Job Description

Roy Briley General Contracting/RBI is seeking a dynamic, detail-oriented Senior Accountant/Controller to lead our financial operations and ensure the integrity of our accounting practices. This pivotal role oversees all aspects of financial management, including regulatory compliance, financial reporting, budgeting, cash flow management, and internal controls. Also work with our amazing accounting team from other departments. The ideal candidate will possess a strong foundation in accounting principles, extensive experience with accounting software, and a proactive approach to financial analysis and reporting. Responsibilities Manage full-cycle accounting functions, including general ledger accounting, account reconciliations, monthly profit and loss statements, and balance sheet reconciliations to ensure accuracy and compliance with GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles) and IFRS (International Financial Reporting Standards). Oversee accounts payable and accounts receivable processes, ensuring timely payments and collections while maintaining accurate records. Lead regulatory reporting efforts, ensuring compliance with all applicable governmental regulations and reporting requirements. Develop, implement, and maintain internal controls to safeguard company assets, support compliance requirements, and improve operational efficiency. Prepare detailed financial reports, statements, and analyses to support executive decision-making. Utilize accounting software such as QuickBooks, Sage, Xero, or similar platforms to manage financial operations effectively. Conduct cash management activities, including forecasting, budgeting, and cash flow monitoring to optimize liquidity. Perform technical accounting duties, including journal entries, double-entry bookkeeping, payroll processing, and general ledger reconciliations. Collaborate with cross-functional teams on forecasting, budgeting, variance analysis, and strategic financial planning. Support annual audits and coordinate with external accountants, auditors, and regulatory agencies as needed. Qualifications & Experience Proven experience in corporate accounting, preferably within the construction or general contracting industry. Strong knowledge of accounts payable, accounts receivable, job costing, and construction accounting practices. Extensive experience with balance sheet reconciliations, account reconciliations, and general ledger accounting. Demonstrated ability to manage financial reporting and maintain accurate financial records. Proficiency in accounting software, including , foundationss, QuickBooks, Sage, Xero, or similar financial management systems. Strong understanding of financial analysis, forecasting, budgeting, and cash flow management. Excellent organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills. High level of accuracy, integrity, and attention to detail. Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field preferred. CPA designation is a plus. Why Join Us? $90,351.89 - $110,000.00 per year
