Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Certified Public Accountant (CPA) role based in Hoover, AL. The CPA will prepare, analyze, and review financial statements to ensure accuracy, compliance, and clarity for clients. Daily responsibilities include preparing and reviewing individual and business tax returns, researching tax issues, and providing tax planning recommendations. The role involves managing general accounting functions, including reconciliations, journal entries, and month-end or year-end closing activities. The CPA will communicate directly with clients, respond to inquiries, and document work in accordance with firm standards. The position also includes collaborating with team members, maintaining current knowledge of tax laws and accounting standards, and contributing to process improvements within the firm. Qualifications Experience in Tax Preparation for individuals and businesses (S corporations, C corporations, Partnerships), with solid understanding of relevant tax laws and regulations. Strong accounting fundamentals, including Accounting and Finance knowledge, with the ability to apply principles to diverse client situations. Proficiency in preparing and analyzing Financial Statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements. Active Certified Public Accounting (CPA) license. Experience with accounting and tax software, strong Excel skills, and comfort working with various financial systems. Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving abilities, with keen attention to detail and accuracy. Effective written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to explain complex financial matters in clear, accessible terms. Ability to manage multiple deadlines, work collaboratively in an office setting, and maintain confidentiality and professional ethics.
