Job Description and Responsibilities:

Honu Services is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented individual to join our Accounting and Finance team as a Summer Intern. In this role, you will have the opportunity to gain hands-on experience in various aspects of Accounting and Finance, including financial analysis, budgeting, reconciliations, and reporting. You will work closely with our team of professionals to support day-to-day operations and contribute to ongoing projects. This internship is an excellent opportunity for students or recent graduates looking to expand their knowledge and skills in accounting and finance in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities include:

Assist with the preparation of financial reports such as balance sheets and income statements. Perform data entry and maintain accurate financial records. Help with accounts receivable, payable, and bank statement reconciliation. Support the finance team in financial management and analysis. Assist with tax computations and returns. Participate in audits and help resolve discrepancies. Update financial data in databases to ensure information integrity. Attend meetings to expand knowledge of the Accounting field. Duties as assigned.

Requirements Requirements:

Must be actively working on or have a bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, economics, business administration, or a related field. Basic understanding of Accounting principles and Financial regulations. Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel. Strong attention to detail and organizational skills. Excellent communication and teamwork abilities. Eagerness to learn and adapt in a fast-paced environment. Must be a U.S. Citizen.

Physical Requirements:

Work may involve sitting or standing for extended periods of time. Position may require typing and reading from a computer screen. Must have enough mobility, including but not limited to bending, reaching, and kneeling to complete daily duties in a timely and efficient manner. May include lifting weigh up to thirty (30) pounds, as necessary.

Location/Work Schedule :

This is an in office position in Huntsville, AL.

Salary Range:
