Job Description

Senior Accountant Our client is seeking a Senior Accountant to join their team. This is a great opportunity for someone coming out of public accounting who is looking to transition into a more operational, business-facing role while continuing to build on strong technical accounting skills. Position Overview The Senior Accountant will play a key role in the month-end close process, financial reporting, and overall accounting operations. This individual will work cross-functionally with leadership and contribute to process improvements, analysis, and strategic decision-making. Key Responsibilities Own key aspects of the month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close process Prepare and review journal entries and account reconciliations Assist with preparation of monthly and annual financial statements in accordance with GAAP Support budget and forecasting processes Partner with internal teams to improve processes and strengthen internal controls Assist with external audit requests and documentation Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field 3-6+ years of accounting experience, ideally in public accounting or a public/private blend Strong understanding of GAAP and financial reporting Advanced Excel skills and strong analytical capabilities CPA or CPA-eligible preferred Determining compensation for this role (and others) at Vaco/Highspring depends upon a wide array of factors including but not limited to the individual's skill sets, experience and training, licensure and certifications, office location and other geographic considerations, as well as other business and organizational needs. With that said, as required by local law in geographies that require salary range disclosure, Vaco/Highspring notes the salary range for the role is noted in this job posting. The individual may also be eligible for discretionary bonuses, and can participate in medical, dental, and vision benefits as well as the company's 401(k) retirement plan.
