Senior Tax Accountant

Tax Accountant Location :

Tuscaloosa, AL (Onsite) Our client is looking to hire a Senior Tax Accountant to play a key role in supporting the overall tax function, partnering close with the Tax Director to maintain compliance, reporting and strategic initiatives.

Key Responsibilities:

Help prepare and review the quarterly and annual tax provision, partnering closely with the accounting team. Support tax compliance across federal, state and local and international jurisdictions, including working with outside advisors. Contribute ideas and insights around tax planning to help the company operate as efficiently as possible from a tax perspective. Work closely with the accounting and finance teams on tax-related items that impact reporting, forecasts and overall financials.

Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting or related field] 2+ years of progressive tax experience in public accounting or a corporate environment., CPA or CPA eligible preferred Experience with ASC 740 and corporate tax compaliance Determining compensation for this role (and others) at Vaco/Highspring depends upon a wide array of factors including but not limited to the individual's skill sets, experience and training, licensure and certifications, office location and other geographic considerations, as well as other business and organizational needs.
