Salary Non-Exempt Purpose:
The Senior Accountant is a mid-level member of the accounting department who prepares financial documents, reports, and statements each month by targeted deadlines. This role is specifically aimed at fixed asset management, reporting and controls.
Responsibilities/Essential Duties:
Assist with month end close procedures and financial statement analysis Monitor GL activity and prepare balance sheet account reconciliations for fixed assets. Oversight of fixed assets, capital projects budget, related asset audits, and related internal controls including working with the facilities team and project managers regarding ongoing projects. Monitor SOX Compliance related to fixed asset procedures, including review of expenditure requests, quotes, and facilitation of approvals for processing. Prepare daily and monthly journal entries Assist with property tax return filings Assist with audit requests on a quarterly basis Assist with projects within the department, as needed.
Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance required. Five years of relevant accounting experience. Effective communication skills, both written and verbal. Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly with Excel. Experience with SAP preferred. Strong time management and organizational skills. Ability to work individually and on teams.
