Staff Accountant

Description Senior Accountant / Accounting Manager (Flexible Title Based on Experience) Position Overview We are seeking a high-impact accounting professional to join our team at the Senior Accountant to Accounting Manager level, with flexibility to adjust title (up to Assistant Controller or Controller) based on experience and leadership capability. This is a hands-on role ideal for a self-starter who thrives in a fast-paced environment and is eager to take ownership of core accounting functions while contributing to process improvements and strategic initiatives. This individual will play a critical role in month-end close, financial reporting, acquisition support, and internal process development, with strong visibility to leadership and opportunity for growth. Key Responsibilities + Own and execute month-end and year-end close processes + Prepare and review monthly journal entries, including: + Deferred revenue calculations + General ledger reconciliations and account analysis + Ensure completion of month-end checklists and supporting workpapers + Perform month-end expense reviews and variance analysis + Assist in preparation of lot-level income statements and financial reporting + Analyze and report on repo surplus and deficiencies + Support acquisition activity, including involvement in ~20-day acquisition cycles + Contribute to process improvements and provide operational/accounting insights + Assist with personal property tax filings and estimated tax payment preparation +

Administer:

+ Bank of America online P-card program + Visa prepaid program + Serve as a backup to the General Ledger Manager + Partner with cross-functional teams and support field operations (lots) as needed + Participate in special projects led by Accounting Leadership (Controller, GL Manager, Principal Accounting Officer) + Help mentor and develop junior accounting staff Compensation & Benefits +

Base Salary:

$90,000 - $110,000 (flexible depending on experience) + Equity eligibility + Short-term incentive bonus + Additional performance-based cash incentives Growth Opportunity This role offers significant upward mobility, with the ability to expand scope into leadership and potentially grow into an Assistant Controller or Controller position as the business continues to scale.
