Job Description

Job Description •Must currently live in Columbus or surrounding area to be considered•We are seeking an experienced Senior Accountant to support the financial operations of a growing affordable housing portfolio.
Key Responsibilities:
Prepare and review monthly financial statements and supporting schedules. Manage month-end and year-end close processes. Perform account reconciliations and analyze financial results. Ensure compliance with affordable housing regulations, tax credit requirements, and reporting deadlines. Assist with audits, tax filings, and lender reporting. Partner with property management teams to support financial performance and operational objectives.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance. 3+ years of accounting experience, preferably within affordable housing, real estate, or property management. Strong understanding of GAAP and financial reporting. Knowledge of LIHTC, HUD, and other affordable housing programs. Proficiency with accounting and property management software. Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
