Job Description

Description:
The Staff Accountant is responsible for creating timely and accurate entries for non-operated revenue checks, financial statements, billing, accounts payable, accounts receivable, responding to owner inquiries and accurately performing special departmental projects as assigned. This position is based in Fayetteville, AR. Duties & Responsibilities Reports directly to Department manager Interacts as required with other division office personnel and staff Prepare journal entries on a monthly basis Code and process invoices as needed in A/P software Reconcile assigned general ledger accounts on a monthly basis Process non-operated cash receipts in Quorum/ODA's Revenue module Record and provide support to the Owner Relations portal (answer a wide variety of customer service questions) Communicate with co-workers, management, clients, and others in a courteous and professional manner Conform with and abide by all regulations, policies, work procedures, and instructions Conform with all safety rules and use all appropriate safety equipment Other duties as assigned
Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in Accounting Ability to organize, prioritize, and schedule work assignments Ability to use a computer and possess an understanding of computer software including Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Word, and Outlook Excellent time management skills and ability to work on many different projects at one time Ability to work independently and without direct supervision Understand the importance of following standardized procedures Maintain professional appearance Knowledge of generally accepted accounting principles Possess an organized and disciplined personality A positive attitude and take directions constructively Ability to work under tight deadlines Willingness to "go the extra mile" to achieve division sales goals and objectives Physical Demands Lifting up to 20 pounds occasionally and up to 10 pounds frequently and frequently moving small objects. Frequently sitting for long periods of time Walking or standing occasionally This position works mostly indoors; going outdoors may be frequently required Must have manual use of hands and vision to use computer constantly Employee Benefits Medical Insurance
