Job Description

Senior Accountant Job Overview We are seeking an accomplished and detail-oriented Senior Accountant to join our finance team. This senior-level position is integral to ensuring the highest standards of financial accuracy, compliance, and process optimization across the organization. The Senior Accountant will oversee complex accounting operations, mentor junior staff, and deliver strategic insights to support robust decision-making. As a trusted resource, you will help steer our business through accurate reporting, leadership, and continual improvement initiatives. Key Responsibilities Prepare, review, and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and reports. Oversee and manage the general ledger, account reconciliations, and the month-end/year-end close processes. Ensure compliance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and all applicable laws and regulations. Develop, implement, and refine accounting policies and procedures for improved efficiency, effectiveness, and control. Lead, supervise, and mentor junior accounting colleagues by providing guidance and ongoing training. Coordinate and support internal and external audit processes, ensuring timely preparation of necessary documentation and responses. Monitor, analyze, and report on financial and operational results, providing meaningful insights to management for strategic planning. Manage fixed asset accounting, cost allocations, and complex reconciliations. Assist in preparing budgets, forecasts, and variance analyses. Identify, evaluate, and implement process improvements in alignment with digital transformation initiatives and best practices. Required Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a closely related field. At least 5 years of progressive professional accounting experience. Extensive knowledge of accounting principles, financial reporting, and internal controls. Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Excel and major accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, SAP, Oracle, or similar programs). Exceptional analytical, organizational, and problem-solving abilities. Superior written and verbal communication skills. Proven ability in mentoring, developing, or leading junior team members. Demonstrated capability to manage multiple priorities and consistently meet tight deadlines. Preferred Qualifications Certified Public Accountant (CPA), Chartered Accountant (CA), or similar professional certification is highly preferred. Master's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline. Relevant experience within the organization's industry sector (e.g., manufacturing, services, technology, etc.). Background in process automation, ERP implementations, or financial systems upgrades. Proficiency with data analysis and business intelligence tools.
